What Is PRX-T33?
Signs of aging often appear as as a result of sun damage and the aging process. PRX-T33 is an advanced peel that can treat various signs of aging without the side effects of most chemical peels. It can be used on areas like the face, chest, abdomen, hands, knees, and arms.
How Does PRX-T33 Work?
PRX-T33 is basically a mixture of TCA, hydrogen peroxide, and kojic acid. This peel can effectively penetrate down to the deeper skin layers for enhanced rejuvenation. It stimulates regeneration of skin cells and production of new cells. The process hydrates and tightens the skin without damaging the skin cells in the epidermis.
Ideal Candidates
Ideal candidates for a PRX-T33 peel want to treat various signs of aging such as sagging skin, greasy skin, wrinkles, stretch marks, oversized pores, hyperkeratosis, scars, and acne scars. Candidates must have realistic goals.
PRX-T33 is appropriate for patients who do not want to undergo chemical peels that require injections of local anesthesia. Healthy patients who want to rejuvenate their skin but have no time for a recovery period are excellent candidates for this treatment.
If you have allergies to any of the ingredients in this peel or have very sensitive skin, you may not be an ideal candidate for treatment. Patients who are pregnant or breastfeeding are not good candidates for PRX-T33. Patients with skin infections or wounds must fully treat these before they can come in for a PRX-T33 treatment session.
Your Consultation
During your consultation, we will discuss your goals for your PRX-T33 treatment. Tell us about past skin-rejuvenation treatments you have tried. We will evaluate your medical history and examine the health of your skin.
We will recommend a treatment plan based on your aesthetic goals, skin type, and skin issues. PRX-T33 can also be combined with other treatments like Exilis skin tightening, fractional laser treatments, and microneedling.

Your PRX-T33 Treatment Session
Each PRX-T33 treatment session will last 20 to 30 minutes. The skin will be cleansed, and a skin-prepping solution will be applied. No anesthesia will be necessary for the treatment.
After prepping the target area, the PRX-T33 solution will be applied onto the skin. A tingling sensation may be felt, but the treatment is completely pain free. A targeted massage will be performed to allow the peel solution to penetrate deeper.
For best results, the process will be performed several times according to the treatment plan. Lastly, the skin will be cleansed, and a sealing moisturizer will be applied for optimal results.
Aftercare
The patient can go home or get back to work right after the PRX-T33 treatment session. No recovery period will be necessary. Specific aftercare instructions will be provided to the patient to aid them as the results start to show. Although patients will notice significant skin tightening and brightening following the treatment, full results can be seen after four to six weeks.
Depending on the goals of the patient and the results per session, the treatment plan will involve multiple treatment sessions. Generally, patients will need four to six sessions for best results. Patients can come in for maintenance treatments around eight to twelve months after the initial session.
