Loose skin and skin laxity can be a concern for many of our patients. This is especially the case for the stomach. Quite a few believe they can’t address loose or sagging skin without invasive surgery. That couldn’t be further from the truth. With minimally invasive treatments like Morpheus8, our patients can achieve optimal results in only a matter of weeks. With that in mind, let’s take an in-depth look at the innovative Morpheus8.
Understanding Morpheus8
Morpheus8 is a minimally invasive procedure that combines radiofrequency energy and microneedling to tighten the skin, improve skin firmness, stimulate collagen and elastin production, and achieve a more youthful appearance.
Unlike a surgical facelift, tummy tuck, or body lift, with Morpheus8 treatment, you don’t have to worry about a long downtime, incisions, or scarring. It works on all skin types and skin tones, so it’s an appropriate choice for many different patients.
How Does Morpheus8 Work?
Morpheus8 makes tiny punctures in the skin with ultra-thin needles and administers radiofrequency energy to heat up the deep layers of the skin. With this combination, the treatment stimulates the body’s natural collagen production and kickstarts the healing process to achieve tighter skin.
But beyond tightening the skin, the fractional treatment also addresses a variety of skin concerns, including lines and wrinkles and acne scarring.
Morpheus8 Areas
Morpheus8 can be applied to multiple areas of the body where you want to tighten and firm your skin. These areas include:
● Abdomen
● Arms
● Thighs
● Buttocks
● Décolletage.
● Neck
What to Expect from Morpheus8
Morpheus8 is a relatively simple treatment. To start off, we’ll cleanse the treatment area and apply a topical numbing cream to ensure you’re comfortable throughout the treatment process. Once the numbing agent kicks in, the Morpheus8 device will be applied to the skin. You may feel a slight warmth or prickling sensation, but most patients tolerate treatment quite well.
How long your treatment lasts will depend on the size of the treatment area, the number of areas being treated, and if other treatments are done alongside Morpheus8. Generally, treatment takes 30-60 minutes. For your desired outcome, 3-4 treatments spaced 4-6 weeks apart are usually required.
After treatment, you’ll want to stick to mild cleansers and avoid direct sun exposure, strenuous exercise, and makeup until your skin heals fully.
Initial results are visible within the first week, but it can take several weeks for the collagen to build up in the skin and the full results to appear.
